Cost-effective and high-resolution drone mapping and photography provides additional tools to enable government agencies and not-for-profit organisations the power to plan and monitor the progress of environmental works programs. UAV technology enables the capture of small sites without the associated costs of mobilising a manned aircraft. A drone is also unobtrusive to wildlife and opens up opportunities in the monitoring of water birds, pest species and vegetation change. The regular mapping of sites also facilitates the reporting of progress to funding bodies whilst all data is supplied in data formats and projections for use in GIS.
We have a demonstrated track record in:
- Mapping weeds in rivers and estuaries
- Assessing damage to alpine wetlands caused by feral horses
- Wildlife counts
- Waterway survey for stabilisation works
- Assisting with wetland re-vegetation audits
